Does your mom read your blog?
My mom reads mine. She probably reads yours too, just sos you know.
While she was visiting Monday, she asked if it was weird that she reads it. No, I told her. Do your friends' moms read their blogs? Sometimes, maybe. Well, is it bad that I comment on your blog? Do people make fun of you?
Oh, mom. This isn't high school. If you want to comment on my blog, I promise not to run and hide and pretend not to know you. You don't have to drop me off a block away. But thanks for asking.
So yeah. Mom reads my blog. And sometimes it helps clear up some rather mysterious things. Because, as I'm sure you're all aware, moms know pretty much everything. And while we may hate it that they're almost always right, sometimes that's the very thing we love about them.
I got back to my desk yesterday after a meeting and my message light was on: "Hi honey. I just wanted to tell you that I know what's wrong with your stomach. It's the cabbage in the soup."
Aroo? I've eaten vegetable soup with cabbage before and I didn't end up feeling like that.
"But remember I told you I messed up? I put the whole head of cabbage in there instead of the half that it called for."
But she made a LOT of soup, so I figured it would even out. But wow. That's some serious cabbage. And boy is there a ton of that soup. I didn't eat any yesterday because I was scared to. Maybe today?
I don't know. I'm a little worried. I'm still having those pains once in a while. But. But. I like vegematables!

Ew! Cabbage! Stay away!
Your mom funny. Hi, Ms. Jasclo!
I liked the food at the one party! And the wine, too. Mmm. Wine.
