Ellen DeGeneres dancing for American Express. I mean, I like Ellen. And Am Ex ain't so bad itself. But enough already. We get it. You like to dance to your own tune.

Can we talk about the Fixodent commercials that Florence "Carol Brady" Henderson does? The ones where they bop around and enthusiastically endorse the fact that if you buy 5 boxes of the stuff, you get some frequent flier miles or a plane ticket or something. I mean, what? Seriously, am I just not getting it? Are those connected in some mystery way of which I'm not aware?
I was really perplexed all night after seeing it.
Oh noooo she didn't!? Poor Carol. Can't she find anything better to do?
Fixodent really completely and totally freaks me out. I get that some people lose their teeth. But I just can't handle it. I'm taking care of mine because I want to keep them. KEEP THEM. REAL TEETH.
Oh yes, sorry Jurgen, back to the commercial. I have not seen that one (thank you, dvr!!) but I cannot find a link between air miles and fixodent. But let's reach into the bag and see what comes out.

Oh, yes. Yes, here it is: Buy 5 boxes of Fixodent and you'll get a trip (or miles or whatever) because Flo Henderson has a plane and she maybe that's what she had to offer to get the job.

Oh! Oh! On the subject of teeth, what's up with Al Pacino's chompers? He didn't have them in the Godfather. I kind of can't look at him anymore - he looks like he's got in the Halloween teeth that kids get for gags. That is one effed up grill, and it disappoints me, it really does.
I'm not sure if Carol still has hers. The whole Brady Bunch cast just freaks me out now. Hi, Peter Brady? You're being used for publicity, though I don't for the life of me know WHY.
Ewww. I hadn't noticed Al Pacino's teeth. *shivers*
Hey, maybe the whole Brady clan could reunite and peddle Fixodent. I think that would be sufficiently freaky and creepy.
