• Turns out it's not the mold and it's not my allergies. I have bronchitis. AGAIN. I got it two years ago. What the hell? What kills me is that (unlike Nabbalicious) I get sick a couple times a year. And I always atrribute it to sinuses at first. And then it gets worse. And then I have to go to the doctor, which I hate to do. I guess I just hate admitting that I'm sick. Anyway, the point is that I eat pretty well, exercise and take vitamins and I get sick. David, who eats crap ALL THE TIME and doesn't work out, never gets sick. It's so not fair.
• We have new neighbors. Mary came to visit yesterday and we had this conversation:
Me: Our new neighbors are moving in. I saw their couch. It's ugly.
Her: What do you mean by ugly?
Me: Well, it was plaid and had a ruffly skirt.
Her: Ugh. That is so wrong.
Me: And it wasn't even a good plaid.
Her: IS there a good plaid?
And tonight, I notice that their massive spotlight is on again. You know, the one that shines right into our bedroom window. As if I need something else to keep me awake. The runny/stuffy nose, coughing and sore throat isn't quite enough.
• We had lunch with the Buntings yesterday. Here's a recap of what happened while we were at their house:
Abigail (from upstairs): UN-CLE DAY-VID! UN-CLE DAY-VID!
Me (to David): Answer that child!
Chrissy: She's just going to keep on until you answer her.
David: What?
Abigail: COOOME HEEEEEERE.
Chrissy: Abigail, Uncle David is tired. He doesn't want to play right now.
Abigail (from upstairs): Uncle David is NOT tired.
Chrissy: He's sleeping!
Abigail: Uncle David is NOT sleeping! UN-CLE DAY-VID!
That child is too cute for her own good.

I think what happened was I actually recoiled in horror at the mention of the skirt. A visible step back and an "Ohh..."
Right on with the Abby sound effects!
FEEL BETTER!

Oh, holy cow! That couch probably had a skirt too!!
*blush* BUT it was a tasteful plaid -- not like the couch I just saaw. This one was plaid like that first couch David and I had. Now THAT was ugly. But hey, it was $20. How could we say no? And might I add that I kept a cover on that couch? Thank God those days are gone.
