I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first Netflix shipment. (The first three discs of the senior year of Felicity, in case you were wondering.) I might meet the mailman at the box today! Ok, probably not, but you know... that would be funny. Hey! Mr.! Ya got any movies for me? It would be like waiting for the ice cream truck. Only where I grew up, there was no ice cream truck. Because in case I haven't mentioned this, I grew up in the middle of the woods. On a mountain. And I swore that when I grew up I would live in the city and be able to walk wherever I wanted to go. Er, well... I almost made it. I live in a suburb and walk to my car. (Oh shush! I go to the gym!) But hey, at least I don't have to drive 20 minutes to get to the grocery store or the gas station. There's one right down the road! So hurray for almost meeting that goal. Actually, in college I lived in the city part of our area (OK, it was in the dorm but still. It SO counts) and walked to all my classes and everything. That was fine. What I hated though were the sirens every 15 minutes. The worst part is when they don't just let the siren go, it just goes WuhpWuhpWuuuuuhhp. Man I hated that. And it was always just below my window. Oh, and at 2 a.m. Wait. Where was I? Oh yes. Netflix. So at least I can walk to my mailbox to rent a movie. Americans. Sheesh. We're so lazy we can't drive to the video store anymore. On the other hand, there are always movies I want to see but eventually forget about them and remembering them at the video store? Fuhgetaboudit. I have the worst memory for that stuff. So it's a great way to become a movie buff. Do you think they'll give me free membership now since I said such glowing things? Right. Probably not.

I'm pretty sure they won't give you a free membership - but they will just keep sending stuff to your house until you stop sending it back.

Awesome.

I walk around a lot - but I still use the Netflix. Know why? CAUSE I'M CHEAP! Renting 3 movies for a single weekend costs more than a month of Netlfix. And since we have a blizzard every weekend, it has become more cost-effective.

I expect it will be until June. And then there won't be any new TV on.... so back to the flix.
