Winter has gotten SO old. Right now, it's snowing. Yesterday, it was almost 70 degrees. And now... SNOW. Come back springy weather!! Come back RIGHT NOW. I hate the teasing. Sure the snow is pretty coming down and it's not going to amount to anything, but still. I've always, always hated snow. (Except for that brief fling I had with Maine. I've never been there, but for a short time when I was a teenager, all I wanted to do was move to Maine and live in a log cabin. Who WAS that girl!?) Mostly, I hated snow because we lived at the bottom of a huge hill and when it snowed, we didn't get out. Sometimes for DAYS. I don't have to tell you how much that sucked. But also, and this goes for any kind of crappy weather really, when my school or some friends would be planning a trip to do something outside, as the day got closer my mom would always say, "It's going to rain that day." And I just wanted to scream when she said that. And of course, this is why David and I got married inside. Because of the constant reminder that IT COULD RAIN. Which it could have. But guess what. It didn't. The snow! The snow! It's crushing my spirit! Need sunshine STAT. P.S. Along the lines of learning something new every day, Denver has the thinnest people and the largest population of high school and college graduates in the U.S. It also has the most parks. If it weren't for all the snow there, I might be tempted to pack my bags.
