What a busy couple of days. I have to say is that I have some very conspiratorial and secret-keeping friends and family. David planned a surprise birthday party for me -- three days before my birthday. And I have to admit he got me. I had a couple of clues beforehand, but nothing that gave it all away. Good job, guys! And thanks for all your hard work. I appreciate it. My mom even came to town. Even though she didn't get to stay too long, it was still nice to have her here. She said I have some great friends. And I have to agree. Chrissy said she wanted to go to Williamsburg on Saturday, so we did. I hear she was pretty agitated with me because I was insisting on going to the gym first which meant we wouldn't be leaving town as early as everyone wanted us to. But I relented in the end and we left around 11. The highlights of the day, other than the party were: 1. The Cheese Shop in Williamsburg. Holy cow. It's SO GOOD. We tried lots of cheese and ordered sandwiches. We also bought some five-cheddar cheese and also Guinness cheese. That's right. Cheese with beer in it. It was gooooooood. 2. I finally found orange trees at the Pottery Factory. 3. David took me to the Jefferson Hotel for the night. Swanky!
