THANK GOD. I've been having a bad streak with books. I seem to pick up some real winners and then it takes me months to read them. I've finally busted through. I started a new book the other day and it's fantastic. The only problem is that I started it two days after it was due back to the library. I tried to renew it but, it's on hold. Well, MWAHAHAHA. They're not getting it back until I'm done. I think it will be just a few days though. (Baker Towers by Jennifer Haigh)

I had that with the Penn Jillette book I just read - I was like "why don't I stop reading this?". But then I remembered my stupid 50 book challenge - it is stupid because I won't dump a book that I'm not getting into. In the end, I kind of liked it - but it took me approximately forever to read.

I'm blazing through Now, Voyager (so good!) and it is due back next week. I love the li-berry.

You know, it's really weird how many books I have that same thought about. I used to never ever stop reading a book, hoping it would get better. But I found that sadly, a lot of them don't. And in extreme cases, I'll put it down because life is just too darned short.
