I read a story about a woman who took the day off work to vote. She'd lived in this country for about 10 years, but has just this year become a U.S. citizen. So, she devoted her day to voting and then to having a party to celebrate with her friends. Without getting political, we should all be this enthusiastic to have a say in this process. We're very lucky. Even if my candidate doesn't win, I'll know I did my best. After voting, I even asked for a sticker. Afterward I visited Chrissy. As I was holding Abby, she peeled the "I voted!" sticker from my shirt. "Hey," I said, "That's my sticker." "Noooooooo," Abby said. "Myyyyyyyy sticker." Ah well. She can have it.
