A scratch of the noggin For the next month or so, we have a houseguest. And Chloe, bless her, seems to be fine with it. I have no idea how or why and we're super puzzled by this. If someone even knocks on the door, she usually runs for the hills (and by hills, I mean under the bed). But this time, she seems unfazed. He (our guest) is staying in the (go figure) guest room, which is really Chloe's room. She sleeps on the bed or in the chair all the time. The other day, I was looking for her and there she was sprawled out on the bed, despite some stranger and his stuff inhabiting the room. David told me that last night, she was all curled up on the bed when our guest wanted to turn in. David had to go get her and then she was mad that she'd been disturbed. Also, she's rolled around on the floor while he's around AND EVEN SHOWED HIM HER TUMMY. WHAT!?!?! She doesn't even do that to my mom, who has been coming around since we got Chloe. Mom was with us when we got her from the shelter. I wouldn't be so puzzled if she weren't 7 years old and had always treated us as traitors when people came over. Seriously. We usually move her food upstairs so she won't be traumatized and can eat in peace. Where's a pet psychic when you need one?
